A sty is a little pimple or lump that appears on the outside of your eyelid. It is brought on by an infection of the oil glands in that area of the eye by bacteria.
Keratitis: Keratitis is an infection of the cornea caused by a virus, bacterium, or fungus. An eye injury may also cause it. Keratitis is very common in those who use contact lenses.
Blepharitis: Blepharitis is an inflammation of the eyelids caused by bacteria. Similar to sties, the condition is caused by clogged oil glands at the base of the eyelashes.
An infection of the uvea, which is the pigmented layer of the eye that includes the iris and choroid, is known as uveitis. Viral infections, ocular trauma, or immune system deficits are among the causes.
Cellulitis: Cellulitis is an inflammation of the eyelids. It usually happens when a scratch or small eye injury is contaminated with germs (like Staph or Staphylococcus).
Endophthalmitis: This condition is characterized by a severe inflammation of the inner eye. It is caused by a fungal or bacterial infection, usually caused by the yeast fungus or Candida.
