According to the Daily Mail, a cop told the group, “The dog was loose and she grabbed a hold of it and we all thought that she was going to probably bring him back inside but she just flung [her] right over the rail.”
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reports that the dog landed upright. After taking off, she was finally stopped by onlookers. After being placed under arrest by Volusia County Animal Services,
Who gave her the moniker Miracle, the German Shepherd was sent to the Atlantic Animal Hospital in Port Orange for an urgent assessment.
Miracle was lucky to be unharmed by the throw and following fall from the second storey, but an x-ray showed that she had a sewing needle stuck in her leg.
According to a statement from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, she was recuperating with Animal Services after undergoing a procedure to carefully remove the needle.
