One of the year’s most anticipated boxing contests saw Jake Paul defeat Mike Tyson decisively.
Netflix unofficially handed Iron Mike the first two rounds against 31-year-old Paul, but he burnt out in the latter rounds.
Paul got into the match, throwing 278 punches with a 28% success rate whereas Tyson only managed 18% from 97 blows and lost on all three judges’ score sheets.
Social media seems to unite fans and commentators on the match.
Tyson, 58, stood in the ring, but fans applauded his eight-round resilience against a younger opponent.
X, a user said: “The fact that Tyson was able to stay in it for 8 rounds at 58, against a 27 year old is an achievement in of itself.”
In another, “Mike Tyson did well for his age. I wanted more, but time is against us. Few 58-year-old men could survive a 16-minute fight with a 27-year-old.”

Fans blamed Tyson’s age for his loss in the Netflix match, one of the year’s most anticipated.
Tyson is 50-7-2 and Paul is 12-1 despite strong first two rounds.
