Before their big fight, the boxing veteran was quite reclusive, which is why El Gallo described him as “boring.” The Jake Paul and Mike Tyson news conference was a disappointment if you were hoping for furious trash talk and total chaos.
The two combatants faced off just two days before their huge battle at AT&T Stadium, and while Jake was ready for a verbal spar, his opponent was a man of few words when asked questions.
Mike was clear that his main goal was to beat Jake, that he was done talking, and that he was ready for a battle.
One reporter asked him what he would personally lose if he lost against Jake, and it was a dramatic moment. Mike firmly stated that wouldn’t happen, interrupting the entire conversation.
Jake previously said that he didn’t appreciate the way the former champion was acting when asked about Mike’s restrained demeanor.
“There’s a lot of s*** talk online saying you’re going to kill me, and just nothing in person,” Jake said. “This is… I don’t know. It’s kind of boring. Very f***ing boring.
In an effort to salvage the evening, Jake made it interesting by going up to each competitor who believed Mike would win on Friday and putting separate wagers with each of them.
It wasn’t always so “boring” between Mike and Jake since they got into a bit of a pushing battle when they eventually met in person in August.
It’s reasonable to suppose that the crowd won’t be sleeping on fight night because Mike and Jake have both sworn to win.
Mike called it the “biggest fight in the history of life” on earlier this week, and Jake promised to win by knockout.
