In a recent Netflix documentary, Mike Tyson said he was afraid he was “going to die” before withdrawing from the fight with Jake Paul.

Mike Tyson has discussed the horrific health situation that caused him to originally withdraw from his match with Jake Paul.

On Friday, November 15, the legendary heavyweight boxer will square off against the contentious influencer and former Disney star.

Before this, Tyson ultimately withdrew from the July bout that was originally planned, and it was retitled.

According to his handlers, the former heavyweight champion experienced a medical emergency on a plane when he started feeling “nauseous and dizzy” owing to a “ulcer flare-up” just before landing.

The celebrity later discussed the issue with his X fans, stating that he was feeling “100 percent.”

In Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, a recently released Netflix documentary that follows the build-up to the bout from the viewpoints of both fighters, Tyson has now disclosed further information.

The boxer says in the documentary that he was “throwing up blood” during the encounter and thought he was “going to die.”

He stated: “I was training and doing really well a week and a half ago when I suddenly started to feel exhausted.

‘I don’t know what’s wrong with me,’ I was telling my trainer.

When I went to the restroom on the plane from Miami, I vomited blood. I was defecating tar when I suddenly found myself on the ground.

When I arrived, they discovered that I had a large, bleeding ulcer that measured two and a half inches. My pals were phoning me as if I were going to die.

“I asked the doctor if I was going to die, and she didn’t say no,” Tyson went on. But when she remarked, “We have options,” I became anxious.

“Dude, I’m so ready to leave this motherf**ker. I want to start training and fighting, God. I would rather die in the ring than in the hospital bedroom.

“You have no idea how much I suffered because of my ulcer. I lost twenty-six pounds. Can you believe that? I had peaked, and I was furious about it. I was ready, talking sh*t, and doing well.

In the documentary, Paul also discussed his response to the news, stating: “I was just numb, I was just like, ‘f**k’ when I received the news that he was out and not able to fight.”

“Nobody can tell Mike Tyson what to do, and if he wants to fight me, of course I’m going to say yes,” the YouTuber continued.

“This is the once-in-a-lifetime chance to square off against Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali, two of the greatest fighters in history.

“I never really expected something like this because I consider Mike Tyson to be a killer.”

A week from now, Tyson and Paul will square off in a boxing match, which will also be aired on Netflix.
